Back To Top Land Every house must be built on land and we all know this is becoming a scarce commodity. We are constantly striving to attain land at discounted rates so that we can maintain an affordable cost of home ownership for our partner families. The cost of land is typically at least one-third of the total cost of the home price, so it is very important that we exhaust all efforts to keep this cost low. This is where you can help. We are looking for land in the Kent County area either donated or at a discounted rate. If you find yourself in a position to help support Habitat through the avenue of providing land, we would be extremely appreciative. Owning your own home is part of the American dream that is unattainable for some people. Habitat provides a unique opportunity for those individuals that have the desire and proper work ethic, but who are not able, financially, to meet closing costs or income requirements to buy their own home. Home ownership builds pride in oneself and filters into every aspect of a person’s life.
